“your sadness doesn’t scare me”

Holding space for someone’s sadness and grief IS the flex that you think it is.

⬆️is that what the kids are saying? Or have they stopped saying it bc that’s about the time I catch onto trends. When they’ve come and gone like a fart in the wind. (Okay, back on track)

Oh sadness.
Oh grief, or grieving…
The waves of it.

I spoke to a client yesterday about the holiday SEASON, and how so much comes UP during it. It’s not a ONE day holiday,
It’s a SEASON.
Days.
WEEKS.
What feels like a whole month sometimes.

Expectations of magic and kindness,
Sorrow and joy in memories.
Lights.
Darkness.

This time, I’ve been feeling a lot of it all. And I hope-
My hope for every single person on earth, is that they all have someone that sits with them and says: (in word or action)

“Your sadness doesn’t scare me.
I’m here.”

Or-

“I’m not afraid of your grief, the waves of it, I am here.”

Sending all my love to you all this season ragamuffins 🩵
