I got asked if I was 11 years older than I actually am-
And it was one of the best compliments I’ve ever received. .
This past weekend at the Expo, I was lucky enough to get an end-cap vender spot.
I have NO idea what that means, or if it’s a good thing- but it meant I had only one vendor/neighbor beside me.
(the other side was a clear view of the stage) .
The vendor beside me was a chiropractor and his name was (or is it IS?) --sometimes I loathe writing) haha.
Josh
I immediately introduced myself and started talkin’ (I am fully aware that I am an introverts WORST seatmate on a transatlantic flight)
When you are next to someone for 2 days straight, you learn a lot about their business and about their life in general.
On the second day, as were talking-
he said, “I hate to ask this- but how old are you?” .
and I responded with every mans’ worst nightmare- .
“How OLD do you THINK I AM?”
To which he replied “44?”
And boy let me tell you-
I LAUGHED so hard, I almost peed my spandex Athleta pants. (this is not a sponsored post, but I love their pants) hahaha.
So, when I told him I was 33-
He retracted for a moment and said, “no, no- that’s NOT what I meant, or why I thought you were older-
What I was thinking was-
the way that you view and talk about life-
I thought- ‘WOW-she’s PACKED A LOT OF LIFE INTO her years!”
And after he said that,
I told him that ‘ some women might have cried themselves to sleep after that---
But- it’s a good thing I ain’t no ordinary woman-😂
This statement, his observation-
was now going in the ‘Jamie archives’ of one of the BEST compliments I’ve ever received- and now that makes us forever friends (whether he likes it or not) hahaha!
Oh- and here’s a picture of my FIRST ever vendor booth!
