I remember entering a contest at JCPenney when I was in third grade for a life-sized Pooh bear. -
When we got the call on our home phone that I had won-
my reaction was similar to the woman in the bath robe opening the door -right after the Super Bowl to the publisher clearinghouse check.
(Kids- If you don’t know that reference, you saved yourself some time licking stamps from all the letters you sent back to Ed McMahon I hopes of winning)

I thought I was the luckiest seven-year-old that ever saw the light of day.

Little did I know, I had already WON the most INSANE lottery to ever take place-
I was born.
