“Since working out with Jamie, my nausea has decreased as well as my digestive and constipation issues” - Current pregnant Client
-
I’m here to inform you ALL of the ‘other’ maybe not talked about so much benefits of incorporating regular movement into your routine-
-
So let’s talk TOILET TALK!
it’s one of my favorite topics that I used to get in trouble ALL THE time at the table for-
But this time, it’s different. -
I’m referring to exercise oftentimes being the catalyst for relieving constipation and other digestive issues that you may be having-
-
When I used to work with the geriatric community- and we would get ‘em up and walking-
sure enough, the first thing they’d often say is “uhhh, now I need to go to the bathroom”
And the nurses loved us in physical therapy- b/c bowel movements are important in the nursing home (as in life)
-
Think about all those internal workings moving about during exercise- the muscles of the intestines are INVOLUNTARY- meaning YOU don’t have the ability to contract and relax them (like you do with your VOLUNTARY bicep muscle)
-
So- regular movement HELPS (or aides with that movement) and can jump start the ‘relieving’ process- -
Yet another WONDERFUL benefit of regular movement-
EMPHASIS ON THE REGULAR! HA!
