I’ve been putting off writing this post for the better part of the year. -
Started full steam with the business in January (ie. quit my PTA job)
Things were going great-
I’m lovin’ it---
Then in February,
I began limping (hip and knee pain)
-
The hip pain has been an ongoing issue I’ve had for 3-4 years-
but the knee pain was new. -
I saw Physical Therapists and Chiropractors from about April-June.
Recommended an MRI
And turns out I have a meniscus tear in my Knee and Labral tear in my hip-
-
I am going to have surgery in September to fix both of these. -
My personal training clients are aware of this-
And I’ll be taking a 1-2 month hiatus from training them as well as taking new clients. -
I won’t be returning to teach STRONG for about 4-6 months (which is the estimated time for return to SPORT)
-
I have had two knee surgeries in the past (Right knee, 2001 Left knee 2008)
And I’m plenty aware that SURGERY is the easy part-
it’s the mental game after that sucks. -
When I found out, I started out angry & sad (if you scroll back to around March-April--
that time period of me posting,
there were a lot of EMBRACE THE SUCK posts.
Now, I’m neither of those.

I am alive and I am thankful that I have been able to initiate this business- b/c there is no looking back.
My content will be around recovery, humor, my thoughts (so pretty much normal stuff-)
But not as much movement will be happening-
I’ll be focusing on recovering and have NO intention of this tearing me down.
This is A SPEED BUMP. This is A Detour, this is a “whatever you want to call it”- this is my life and If you think for one second that I will let this break me-
It will not. -
