Can we talk about the thank you cards?
-
I was brought up on these things, similar to being told to “Always walk up on the RIGHT side of the stairs” or “never step on peoples’ lawn- or don’t write on your body” (whatever mom 🙄😂)
-
I think I have memories of being chained to the table writing them after birthdays’ & Christmas’
-
And now, Like most things that I thought I’d grow out of,
or be ‘free from once I turned 18’
-
I HAVE to write them. -
I know there are people that I have forgotten TO WRITE THEM TO in the past—but I’ll remember one day.
-
It’s even gotten so bad that people will say to me-point blank- “do NOT write me a thank you card please!”
and I just pleasantly ignore them.
-
I have made a pact with one person that we will never exchange thank you cards—but other than that- everyone else will be at the wrath of my written postage envelope.
-
It’s that same ‘ole thing “everyone gives and receives love differently” and some people force love upon you like a thank you card.
-
That’s me. I will force my gratitude into your mailbox. (That sounds weird)
-
Any other people out there supporting the local post?
What is something that people do that makes you feel appreciated maybe I should switch up my routine? 🤨🤓😂 (NEVER!)
