Almost a decade ago, I went on my first date with Nick.

(This is the only photo we have- but I remember wanting to do/say all the right things)
I wanted to be the “cool” girl that asked NOT normal questions.

(Not sure why that always stuck in my mind- like “I’m going to be the girl that asks RANDOM questions and THAT will make him FALL in love!!!) 😂😂

I remover asking him one I ALWAYS asked people-
“Would you rather have a slurpee in Antarctica? Or a hot chocolate in the desert?” (Thanks @davism66 for that gem!)

And then this one-
“What is one thing that your parents did to raise you - that you loved!?and what is one thing that you didn’t like so much, like it didn’t “serve it’s purpose” as a lesson... etc.

I always like learning more about people,
their WHYS.
Their reasons for a decision or why they chose to move, or go to a school, or quit a job etc.

I love that every person is so different and that we can learn so much from one another.

So here’s my answer:
-I loved how much my parents trusted me. I was a trustworthy kid, and they treated me as such.
They punished me when I proved other wise-
They would take away FUN things if I disobeyed them, but for most part- I remember feeling loved, safe and respected. It was more of a ‘innocent until proven GUILTY’ type.
-
Since both my parents are the only ones that will read this-😂 I have to say: I know you did the best you could with what you were taught/given and I appreciate the crap outta you both.

But mom, I could have done with less forced musical watching and
Dad, I wish you could have been better at connect four 😉

What is something you Enjoyed (lesson/moral wise) about your upbringing? Feeling curious today...
