Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the process 10 times more than the final piece.
The finished product is always super cool- but I’m more into the details of how that product comes to life.
@gingerandthehuth recently recorded how she MAKES the gigantic box in order to ship her large cut out items in- (which took her 2-3 hours) while @shopwesthouse time lapsed herself assembling the frames she makes to go AROUND her wooden signs.
When “the process” is 99.9% of your life (hiking the mountain and all you encounter) vs- reaching the top (fleeting moment, or 0.01%)
There is SO much more IN THE ‘middle’
My reason for recording this process are 4 fold.
Obviously the ‘making of the background’ and showing that to you all-
I am doing this on the floor currently-so maybe in the future, I’ll have a table where I can sit and solely make the background? (and I’ll be able to look back on those days I was on the floor)
How I make the backgrounds and how I evolve over time. I’m curious to see if I ‘find a better way’ or increase my efficiency some how?
And lastly, in case you ever want to attempt your own ‘ombre’ background, you have something to go by.
