Learn when to quit.

quitting brings up a lot of things for a lot of people (me included)

You show me a human and i’ll show you someone who has quit.

something. in their life.

When we put ‘not quitting’ on a pedestal, we don’t teach others (i’m thinking of me and my kiddo) of how to evaluate WHEN to quit something.

When I ask these questions, they really can’t be answered by me. They aren’t leading questions- or ones that i’m asking that I secretly know the answer to. but rather ones that (i hope) lead someone to evaluate whether or not something isn’t working and how and when to let go.

1.) something I’ve learned recently is the notion of ‘who are you quitting FOR/ON?” When I think of certain situations in my life, i have NOT QUIT things in order to please other people- therefore, I tend to quit (or QUIET) myself in the whole scenerio.

2.) is this something that is improtant to me- or serving me right now? This is not to say that I should always serve myself, this is meant ot be a reflective question that could lead to more questions.

3.) have I changed my mine? (allowing myself to shift and change is something I’m always working on)

My theme for this year is ‘let go’ and it’s been a tough one for me to embrace for so many reasons. But I think this idea of ‘never quit’ hurts more than it helps. I’d prefer learning HOW to ask self reflective questions to examine WHEN it’s time TO release things.
