Some peoples’ superpower is saving the world by fighting evil skrulls in an intergalactic battle. -
…& some peoples’ superpower is helping others’ find joy in movement by teaching group fitness and being a personal trainer. -
I have SO many superheros in my life, and I am going to start highlighting them-
dubbing today #superheroSunday -
Holly Haugland and I met through IG hashtags when I moved to Spokane- hers was a handful of responses I got from various spokane accounts. You could tell by the way she responded how kind she was-
She started the non profit group @spokane_mama — which focuses on bringing mothers’ together in the spokane area to find community. Following that group for a while, I hear so many mothers’ rave about how much value and community the group has brought them. Thank you Superhero Holly!

I met @kindredsoulflow in Baumholder almost a decade ago, we have similar paths (group fitness instructor + personal trainer) always trying to navigate our way in this military spouse life. When I moved to Spokane, I called her so many times and we would share possible fitness goals and dreams of what and where we saw ourselves. She told me “you have a gift of relating to people through video/screen, and I know you need to follow that.” I was in the garage when she said that- and it has stuck with me. Thank you for your encouragement and support Mayra.

Debbie Dunlap is one of 7 ish “mothers” I had growing up. Her constant smile when @jennyn1013 and I would enter the door was something I could always count on. She cheered for me growing up at games (even though I sat the bench most the time) haha- and she has held me crying, assuring me that everything was going to be okay. She is funny as a whip and even more fierce, mama bears actually watch out for HER! Ha! I am so glad I had such support and love growing up.
