I was at a seminar last year when I heard someone use the word “ragamuffin” -->as in “rag-tag group of ragamuffins” and it made me laugh because Nick has always called me “muffin”
I thought adding “raga” was a little more appropriate for a 32 year old who doesn’t own a brush. (Okay, I actually OWN one, thanks to Tiffany-but I don’t use it.) 🙈
When I was trying to come up with a training name for my vision as a group fitness instructor/personal trainer, I thought it was perfect. 👍
It encompasses who I am. I like working out and stuff, but I’m not in the gym everyday. I like feeling good in my own skin, but I wear cut off shirts from high school to work out in b/c ‘clothes shopping’ is as exciting to me as getting a root canal. 🙀
I also eat the most random stuff, I don’t like giving food labels like “good” and “bad” and have no problem topping off a contain of ice cream after a good cry. 😢
Sometimes I feel bad about it, and sometimes- I’m in such a good place that I am able to enjoy every spoonful. 🥄
I think that’s what #fitragamuffin means to me. 🤗
I work out so I can take all the grocery bags into the house in one trip and so I have enough endurance to sprint to my flight when I am running late. ✈️
It means I lift up the people around me instead of judging them for wherever they are in their life journey.
It means that I have not “found” my happy place, but I am enjoying the journey and coming coming from where I used to be, it’s been a VAST improvement.
I have my ups, my downs and my everywhere in betweens-
So thank you for joining me on this journey of being a #fitragamuffin.
