Zumba Journey PART 3: “ABL”
Always. Be. Learning.
-
I received my initial certification in 2010, and by 2012,
I went to my first Zumba convention in London.
I had been in my own little bubble teaching- so it really pumped me up- to get with other instructors from around the world who were doing the same thing I was.
-
In each little world- there are celebrities
and in the zumba world-I had mine.
Tanya Beardsly, @kassmartin @g2dance , @marta_formoso and @zumbabeto (duh)
-
So seeing them- taking classes FROM them-
from the best in the biz was INSANE. -
ABL is one thing that I take with me even today. -
TAKE OTHER fitness FORMATS (yoga, spin, crossfit, dance etc.)
LEARN from different instructors (style, cueing, instructing etc.) be like a sponge- take in things that you like and want to incorporate into your own class and wring out the stuff you want to leave behind.
But no matter what your interest or work is-
ALWAYS BE LEARNING-
I truly think the art of the ‘master’ lies in the fact that they have the ability to learn from every situation they encounter-
The master is always the student and that’s what makes them the master (oh crap, did I just blow my own mind?) hahahaha!
