About a year ago is when I made my first workout video. .
I enjoy making them- the creativity of it, the splitting of the clips, the exact moment when my face goes from normal human- to drunk sorority girl (you should SEE these edits man!)
Now that I’m getting back into it- it’s so hard NOT to play the comparison game.
It’s easy to type “workout video” in the YT search bar, look at some and get discouraged by how AWESOME they all are. .
But let me let you in on a little game I play with myself— 😳
It’s called “back and forth.” and it takes place in my mind. (no need to call the authorities, they are already aware of my case) 🚔
Pessimistic Patty--> (she resides in my mind on occasion):
“Jamie, you can’t post videos, YOU don’t have a super awesome camera!”
Optimistic Olivia chimes in
--> (this one is SUPER chipper and OFTEN annoying) “Well Patty- she does HAVE A camera, and to be honest, she’s pretty fortunate to even have that- so why don’t you just be quiet and let her film?
PP: “Yeah, but her “space is Sooooo LAME and she knows NOTHING about lighting or angles.”
OO: “She is incredibly fortunate to have a roof over her head and even have enough space to film”
Before I lose you into a conversation that can take place for hours, and ends up with me being in a straight jacket,
I will leave you with this→
“START where you are.
USE what you have.
DO what you can.” .
