“Do you find that your ponytail is ALWAYS flat? -
And NEVER FULL?”

This was the question that a Facebook AD asked me as I scrolled through my feed about a month ago-
-
And for a moment, I thought- “yeah, yeah! My ponytail/bun does kinda look like a burnt half hot dog that hangs from the back of my head sometimes...”
-
And before you know it- I fell for it-
I was right where they wanted me.
-
Worrying about something that I didn’t even KNOW I had to “worry” about, or be “self conscious” about.
-
And wanting to BUY a product to fix said “flaw”
-
I mean,
A FULL ponytail!!! Are you kidding me Jamie!? What’s next? lips the size of tires?
-
Who the heck cares WHAT my ponytail looks like!?
-
And right when I caught it, I was able to say, “if I don’t care about it- but someone ELSE DOES-“
-
Then.. yeah- that person and I are probably not going to have much to converse about if they are even SLIGHTLY concerned with the circumference of my ponytail.

Moral of the story-
To the marketing team of this “full ponytail” mumbo jumbo-
You might want to target someone else- someone who OWNS a hairbrush would be a great start! -
But this ragamuffin ain’t buying it! 😂😂
